Realistic Dummy Rounds & Snap Caps — Made in the USA
J&M Spec. LLC, the company behind FakeBullets.com, is a team of veterans, reenactors, competitive marksmen, and firearms instructors dedicated to manufacturing realistic, reliable, American-made dummy rounds, snap caps, and inert ammunition.
Founded in July 2018, J&M Spec. LLC began with a simple goal: to manufacture high-quality dummy ammunition that looks, feels, and functions like the real thing, without live primers or gunpowder.
What started with a single caliber, .308 Winchester, for our WWII reenacting unit’s Kelly’s Zeroes in Dahlonega, Georgia, quickly expanded to .30-06 Springfield to help teach new M1 Garand owners how to safely operate their rifles for reenacting and competition in NRA and CMP Games matches.
From those beginnings, our product line has grown to include more than 400 calibers and gauges of dummy rounds and snap caps, covering military, historical, Western/Cowboy, and modern commercial firearms.
Quality, Realism, and Reliability
Unlike plastic or lightweight imitation cartridges, our dummy rounds are manufactured using real brass cartridge cases and actual projectiles to provide realistic appearance, weight, and handling characteristics.
Our inert cartridges are designed for a variety of applications, including firearm function checking, dry-fire training, gunsmithing, reenacting, historical displays, museum exhibits, and film productions.
We understand the importance of accuracy, reliability, and authenticity because we use these products ourselves.
Trusted by Enthusiasts and Professionals
Our customers include individual firearm owners, collectors, competitive shooters, firearms instructors, gunsmiths, Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs), firearms manufacturers, museums, reenactors, and film production companies.
Whether you need common training cartridges or hard-to-find historical calibers, our goal is to provide high-quality inert ammunition you can depend on.
More Calibers. More Possibilities.
We take pride in offering the most extensive selection of dummy rounds and snap caps available, with more than 400 calibers and gauges and new additions continually being developed.
From military surplus rifles and Old West revolvers to modern sporting firearms and shotguns, our selection continues to grow to meet our customers’ needs.
Can’t find the caliber or gauge you’re looking for? Contact us! We welcome requests for uncommon and obsolete cartridges and are happy to research the possibility of manufacturing dummy rounds for your specific needs.
At FakeBullets.com, we’re dedicated to preserving history, supporting firearms education, and manufacturing realistic dummy ammunition right here in the USA.
