Description
Set of six .38 Special (38 Spl / 38-44) dummy rounds / snap-caps / fake bullets. Used during WWI and WWII by US aircraft and tanker crews in the “Victory” revolver since it allowed for easier one-handed operation than the semi-automatic 1911. This cartridge has been popular in the civilian market for many years and was also a favorite of police before the switch to semi-autos.
Available with spent primers remaining, empty primer pockets, holes drilled in case, or rubber inserts added to the primer pockets.
Great for safely function checking, as an addition to your display, dry-fire training, etc.

My Dummy Rounds are top-notch in every way EXCEPT I paid extra to have them colored black, and it looks like that was done with a regular ol’ Magic Marker–It’s not very dark nor is it colorfast–Whatever was used rubs off on my hands and clothes rather easily. Next time I’ll skip that, as otherwise the Product is first-rate.

Good for loading and dry fire practice. The red rubber inserts make them easy to identify as dummy rounds when loaded.

Product was exactly as advertised. Used them help break in my new revolver. If I have one complaint it would be that the snap caps a look and feel almost too realistic! Aside from the orange rubber insert and a slight difference in weight, they are identical to my live target ammunition. Photos included for comparison. Live ammo is on the left and dummy ammo on the right.

These are all well made inert cartridges. I was worried about the bullet being pushed back into the casing mouth after several cycling’s, but the bullets aren’t budging after dozens of dry firing. And the rubber disc in the primer pocket is holding very well. (And that’s the only way to distinguish these from live rounds) I’m EXTREMELY impressed by these!
